Several key staff depart BioShock Infinite developer Irrational Games
The original BioShock's art director steps back into a familiar role following staff changes.
Several key members of BioShock Infinite developer Irrational Games have left the studio, according to several LinkedIn profiles found by Joystiq.
Jeff McGann, a lead designer; Kenneth Stickland, a principal systems designer; Nate Wells, an art director; and Tim Gerritsen, a director of product development, are the main departures, according to Joystiq's report. A Gamasutra report also makes mention of Wells' departure, as well as his commencement at Naughty Dog employee, according to a since-removed tweet by Wells and a since-removed LinkedIn listing of his.
Wells' replacement will be Scott Sinclair, the art director from the original BioShock, according to a tweet from Irrational's head, Ken Levine. Aside from this tweet by Levine, Irrational has not made any statements on any of these staff departures or if BioShock Infinite's already-delayed release will be affected. I wouldn't count on it, so I think we can still expect it in stores this coming February.
Of course, if any announcements are made, we'll let you know in a jiffy.
