About Me: Sorry, but I haven't yet shared the information about myself that would typically display here. Check back later to see if that changes, or if I instead choose to remain an enigma. |
The other day I bought:
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (Greatest Hits) (PS2) (new, $19.99)
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (used, $10.79)
And by "the other day" I mean, like, two weeks ago. I would have like to get the original release of Disgaea, but at this point I'm more interested in playing the game than seeking out an original copy.
Of course, it would be way disappointing if that was all I bought in the million years since my last blog entry. And luckily, it's not. :) Here's the other stuff that I remember buying:
Alter Echo (PS2) (used)
Geist (GCN) (new)
Katamari Damacy (PS2) (used)
Max Payne (PS2) (used)
Rogue Galaxy (PS2) (new)
The Simpsons Game (PS2) (used)
SiN Episodes: Emergence (PC) (new)
Super Robot
Ah, yes. The Sega Genesis Collection. I've had good fun with that game. Sonic the Hedgehog, Ristar, Phantasy Star, Shinobi, and more. Great games, those.
Unfortunately, I've never actually owned a Genesis/Mega Drive. It's one of many things I missed out on.
But wait! What's this?
Where the heck did that thing come from?
Since my camera skills suck, you probably can't tell what games they are. I'll remedy that right now.
Pac-Attack
A number of things have happened since my last update. For example, Cocoto Fishing Master came to WiiWare. It has some control issues, but if for some reason I have convinced you to buy Cocoto Fishing Master, that would be the way to get it.
I beat Ico. I loved it. It was a fantastic game, but some people seem to find it boring. That's fine. It's not for everyone.
And then, I went out and bought some games. Only one of them actually involved going out though.
Audiosurf (PC)
Bullet Candy (PC)
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation (GBA)
Audiosurf and Bullet Candy were from Steam, SRTOG was from an actual store.
I've hit a temporary snag in Baten Kaitos, so I've decided to play some more Cocoto Fishing Master.
This time, I switched to the third bait. Unlike the other types of bait, this one rests atop the water. I catch the attention of a fish. It jumps out of the water. I press up on the control stick and my bait jumps out of the water. Yes, this is a very different kind of bait. I catch the fish, an 11.34 lb exocet. Now that I know how to catch the different types of fish, how do I find the 1000-year old fish?
I give my exocet to the hermit turtle. Apparently, he'll give me a special bait if I give him one of every fish available in the level. I might as well, since that's the only way to catch the 1000 year old fish.
I find Baggy and sell some of my fish. This should allow
Bought Cocoto Fishing Master? Been thinking of buying it? Never heard of it?
I bought it. And so have three other people in the Candid Collectors' Union. So with this game sitting in my collection, and other people buying this game as well, I decided to check it.
So I open the game and put the game in my PS2. I choose to start a new game, which is the only thing I can really do at this point. The game wants me to select a difficulty level. I've chosen "normal".
A bit of backstory now. Geo, the king of gods ruled over the land he had created, until one day his evil son Zaron kicked him out. He took refuge in the Abyss kingdom and decided to sleep forever. He created a
So, I've been playing games lately...
I played Dragon Quest VIII up until the Dark Ruins. Then Doulmagus kicked my ass and I moved on. I plan to get back very soon though. I'll just need to prepare better. It really is a fun game.
Played and beat The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. I managed to fill the Phantom Hourglass with 24 minutes and I have 13 hearts. Temple of the Ocean King completion time was 15:36. It would have been much faster if I had realized I could kill the Phantoms with the Sword of Twenty-Three Minutes (My nickname for the Phantom Sword. Apparently the handle is made from the Sand of Hours.). I also had 13 hearts, which is only three less than the maximum.
As for game completion time and number of game overs... I have no idea. The game doesn't t
Last one, I swear. This brings me up to date, so I won't do another one of these until I've bought some more games.
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES ($29.99)
