Well, tonight I was playing some more Battlefield 2 and I got my second unlockable kit. The way the game works, your kills and support actions are awarded points that contribute to your 'global score,' which at certain points unlocks upgraded weapon kits as a reward for your hours of playing.
The first kit I got was an upgrade to my medic gun, so that I have a better aim. The second kit I chose was a sniper kit, which should in theory allow me to shoot through glass. However, that hasn't happened. The one game I played after unlocking the kit found me being owned by the other team. I couldn't seem to hit the broad side of a barn and I hardly got off a shot because it takes forever to fire another shot after a first one. I'll need to practice, I think, but I can see the gun working well once I... stop missing. That may take awhile.
Anyway, I'm doing good as a medic. I get more kills now, revive more people, capture more flags... I'm starting to almost be decent. When I play with my coworkers, we usually dominate and I am good at providing support. I played with just the one guy tonight and managed to down a helicopter with a gun turret. It was fun. I like this game a lot.

Halon - November 20, 2005 (07:56 AM) I played a little bit of it and personally I think the first one is better. I still might buy it once I can get it with all of the expansions (I'm not sure if they came out already or not) for a cheap price. That probably won't be for a while, though. |
