I just took an online color test that was supposed to determine my personality. When I got to the end of the test, which took about a minute to complete and involved nothing more than picking favored colors from a few charts, I was stunned by the psychological report that displayed. It summed me and my interests up to an astounding degree.
I'd be interested in seeing how some of you feel after taking the test. You can find it here:

By the way, here's a listing of the jobs that this test told me would probably be a good fit for me based on nothing more than the colors that I chose:
Suggested careers are Advertising Executive, Architect, Web Designer, Creative Director, Public Relations, Fine or Commercial Artist, Interior Decorator, Lawyer, Librarian, Musician, Reporter, Art Teacher, Broadcaster, Technical Writer, English Teacher, Architect, Photographer, Medical Illustrator, Corporate Trainer, Author, Editor, Landscape Architect, Exhibit Builder, and Package Designer.
The test is interesting because as far as I know, there's no way that I could game it. I just picked the colors and poof, there were suggested career paths. What do you all think of your own results?

randxian - February 09, 2010 (12:22 AM) Interesting. It said I'm a creator. I certainly agree I like to work individually, for the most part, and like it when I'm allowed room for creativity and self-expression. One of my careers paths in an author, something I wouldn't mind doing if I can improve myself as a writer. |

sashanan - February 09, 2010 (01:23 AM) It missed the mark on me, pegging me as a research who dislikes group work. However, its second choice identifying me as an organizer is about right. "Self-Control, Practical, Self-Contained, Orderly, Systematic, Precise, and Accurate" Yup, it got what I either am or strive to be. |

honestgamer - February 09, 2010 (01:38 PM) I'm thinking that there are a limited number of potential results, and that among this community we're likely to find a lot of "Creator" types because this community essentially exists out of our common interest in creation... yet at the same time, there's bound to be some overlap. I do find the test very intriguing. I've taken the Meyers-Brigg test before, which used to be the business standard, and it was no more precise than this one with the colors. |

zippdementia - February 09, 2010 (06:44 PM) Ha ha, I'm color blind so, yeah, this was interesting. I'm a creator, as well. No surprise there. I think the two best personality tests I've taken recently are the Keirsay test: click ... and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories test. That game nailed me. I'm doing a report on it for grad school, actually. |

honestgamer - February 09, 2010 (11:06 PM) The article that alerted me to this color test said that others who are color blind have taken it and found that they still got good results, despite that affliction. So you're not alone, Zipp. |
