How the hell could you give hunk of garbage like Wild Arms 4 and Disgaea series a 10, but Persona 3 a 9 ?

Here is Electronic Gaming Monthly's review of Persona 3

An AAA title apparently.

Here is GamePro's review

RPGFan made list of the best RPG on 6th generation console.Look which title made the top.

I don't fucking get most of you RPG fans . Just when an RPG title is genuinely good and got praises from critics, you all duck to your dark corners and resort to your shitty niche titles due to your insecurity, just like Smeagol cherishing the One Ring . Where is Nocturne , Wild Arms 4, or Disgaea on that RPGFan list ? There is a huge difference between 'honest gamer' and 'uninformed, ignorant gamer'. You seem to be the second one.

You idiot, everyone knows any game rated below a 10/10 is a terrible game that no one should ever touch. Get with the times, man!

Wild Arms 4 was not so bad...though to be honest, much like Suikoden games, a Wild Arms game for me immediately gets an 6 before even looking at the game itself and then it can only get better.

Hmmm, Persona...I should look into those games, the last Persona I played was Persona 2 years ago, and it was a fine game.

Wow, Venter he really showed you. Them other magazines gave those games different scores!

Tone the nerd rage down, HMD.

On a serious note, I thought everyone preferred Nocturne over Persona 3 & 4. You know, of the people that actually played Nocturne.

I didn't like Disgaea very much. I hate these tactical games which aren't actually, you know, TACTICAL. Disgaea had great personality, but for me it fell somewhere in the 4 category.

I haven't played Wild Arms 4, but I'm had bad experiences with the WA series.

Persona 3 was probably a 7 or an 8 from me. There are some major problems with the title, such as the extremely boring dungeons and the lack of any REAL choices to make in the game.

Persona 4 improved on it a lot, garnering more like a 9 from me (still some pretty boring dungeon crawl sections), but then I haven't finished the 4th one yet.

Of course, this could be the same guy who said I had no balls because I said Killzone 2's story sucked.

I've played both Nocturne and P3 and would have to say Nocturne is better for three reasons:

1. I don't need to have to know virtually everything about Japanese history and culture to do good in school in Nocturne because there is no school!

2. You fight cool mythological creatures like angels and Lucifer in Nocturne. In P3, you fight weird little things with names like Weeping Coatrack and Jubilant Shishkabob.

3. Any game with a character who wears the faces of his victims as a coat automatically is better than any other game created in the history of gaming.

I WILL NOT CALM DOWN. Venter stop being so dumb with your dumb opinions and other dumb things (which are dumb, I should add!)!

Anyways is Wild Arms 4 any good? I played the first one a little bit and liked it but you never know with sequels.

I wrote a review explaining why I liked Wild Arms 4 so much, which I doubt this individual ever even bothered to read. I know the game isn't for everyone, but I had a lot of fun with it. With that said, it actually has almost nothing in common with the first game, aside from some of the fascinating themes for which the series is known. Even the battle system has been substantially changed, and dungeon exploration is a lot more active. You should be able to find the game cheap now, and I definitely recommend picking it up. Persona 3, meanwhile, is complete and utter trash and that's why I gave it a 9/10. Clearly.

Wild Arms 4 was so awesome, when it came out everyone who talked about it seemed to think it was a modern JRPG that actually earned a true 10. The game blew away the sour taste from parts 2 and 3 and finally lived up to the promise of the first. EDIT: Quality-wise, I mean. It plays nothing like it.

Disgaea is pretty much heralded as the lord and master of SRPGs (although I haven't played, so I'm not agreeing or disagreeing)... which makes angry email dude's argument based on Persona 3's "pro review popularity" somewhat questionable.

Never mind that you loved Persona 3.

Yet you like FFt. Does not compute.

Wild Arms 4 got trashed by a fair amount of professional critics actually. I didn't think it was that great. The story and characters are terrible and the execution just feels cheap (most of the cutscenes are static images and character portraits). The battle system was interesting but the game was so easy I beat bosses with one attack regularly.

Final Fantasy Tactics has Calculators in it, whereas Disgaea has a hard to pronounce title and exploitative character and game designs.

SO THERE.

I would put more stock in your anonymous critic's opinion if he could properly use a comma. Don't they teach that in school anymore?

His name and e-mail address were European, so that actually explains the grammar pretty easily. The other stuff is just stupidity, which knows no cultural or ethnic boundaries. Plus I think he is mad that I haven't changed the score associated with the review. The title of the e-mail was "Didn't i tell you to change the score of Persona 3 from 9 to 10 ?" and I think he was genuinely surprised that I hadn't yet done so. The poor guy is in for more surprises of that order, though. I hope he'll do himself a favor and stop looking, as the score isn't going to change. ;-)

WA4 was rather weak story wise for the most part, but Arnaud and Raquel were awesome characters...more than I can say for Jude and Yulie. Still, I still think that WA2 and 1 are the most awesome in the series(still have to play the PsP one and V).

EmP, I never undersrtood your hatred of FFT. I'm gonna have to write a review explaining my position one of these days.

I imagine your hatred had something to do with the unsureity of the success of your attacks. I sense you are a man who likes to be obeyed.
