I decided that since most people on the Internet now use 1024 or wider resolution, it only made sense to change that to the site's default. After all, it's the best of the settings and looks the most balanced.
I told bluberry I was doing so and he suggested that instead of simply repeating the same content on the side that appears on the top, I should add some new features.
To an extent, I listened to him.
While I kept the same 'repeat' content that was there before (it'll help the site to get more hits from search engines and it's convenient to users who don't want to scroll all the way to the top of the page, even if it's a minor difference), I've also added some of those new features he mentioned.
I won't bore you all with the details (check out the Site Announcements section of the forums for all the juicy stuff), but let me say this: the site now keeps track of the information you crave much more efficiently. It's going to be a lot easier now to decide what content you can submit to the site that will most reward you with the traffic you like. Everyone who contributes works hard, and hopefully these changes make everything more worthwhile.
