In gaming we love praising good games... but games come in many variants and where one shines, another may take a very different approach. So Here are the GAMEY awards - Games taken in their respective categories and based on their own strengths.
The Categories are as follows:
- Best Indie of 2016
- Best AAA of 2016
- Best Original IP
- Best Art design
- Best Story / Narrative
- Angry Mob Award
Each category is taken in detail and every nominee is explained and elaborated upon, which allows for nuance to take place of useless fanboy-ism and hype.
Gaming awards are always tricky to balance, with it being easy to take the road of the spike.TV awards and pushing it into a trailer and unrelated performances that take away from the games we all love. The GAMEY awards takes a different road - with in depth and detailed discourse on the nominees, choices, categories and criteria.
