Because the default soundtrack sucks big time.

I actually played the hell out of this game on my original Xbox, but haven't played it in years and found a cheap used copy for 360. Making a custom soundtrack was my first order of business. I tried to pick good driving/racing music, i.e. fast-paced stuff with mad beats, etc. Let me know if there's anything else (good) that I should add.
