I'm considering making the switch to Windows 10, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. What do you guys think? Go through with it or keep Windows 8?

honestgamer - November 04, 2015 (12:39 PM) My new computer has Windows 10, and I like it significantly more than Windows 8, which I have on my laptop. Adjusting to Windows 10 after years of using 7 has taken far less effort than I anticipated. 10 is one of "the good ones," at least so far. The only reason NOT to go for it, I would think, is if your computer won't be able to capably run it. I would imagine it requires more resources than 8, though I can't say that for a fact. |

PoeticPaladin - November 15, 2015 (03:54 PM) Many others have already said this, but I'd like to add to the sentiment that Windows 10 is easily worth the upgrade from Windows 8. Anecdotally, my desktop has performed better with 10 than it did with 8. Things feel smoother. The UI is also infinitely better, in my opinion. As for whether it's worth it to switch from Windows 7 to Windows 10... that's for you to decide, really, but I would do so for the (imo) better interface and because you'll probably want to move over at some point. |
