I got a PSP! (Again.)

So, tonight I picked up a PSP. It'll make things tight for awhile, but I'm happy to have one again. It's as exciting the second time around as it was the first. Maybe this time I'll actually get a game for it, though yet again I was able to afford the system (barely) and not any games. Deja vu, anyone?

Did you really need a PSP so badly that you couldn't wait until you had money for games?

Side note: 1 PSP = 16-25 CDs

Downgrade to firmware v1.5, or use the Liberty City Stories save-file trick, and then you can play ROMS and homebrew games via the memory stick.

Oh yeah, and also you can play pirate games...

Actually, there's not really any games you MUST buy for the console. Lumines is great, but apart from that there is nothing else you can't play better or more of elsewhere. You'll no doubt end up getting rid of this one, too!

i'm lovin' the Brown Ale patch for GTA EBoot. now i don't have to worry about my SNES emulator working only half the time and now i'm getting sound on my DGEN emulator.

the only games i think are definitely worth buying are the two launch games: Lumines and Ridge Racers...everything else after that is either decent or mediocre.

I'll have access to PSP games for sure. I write for a magazine, remember? And games come in to HG on occasion from publishers. So it's just a matter of time. And yes, I had an immediate need for the PSP.

Bah. UMDs are for games, not movies! I doubt I'll ever own many movies at all for my PSP. Why buy a UMD when you can just get a DVD?

downlod stuff from there (if you have firmware 1.5) and install what seems good to you, with that homebrew stuff, there's no need for UMDs

(and if you have firmware 2.0 or above goto www.fanjita.org)
