Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse arrives on PC and consoles

It's a remaster with benefits, don't you know?

Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse is now available to enjoy on modern platforms, publisher Skunkape Games announced today. You can purchase the title individually on the platform(s) of your choice, or pick up a bundle of Sam & Max games all at once.

The remastered version of Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse represents the first time the entire trilogy has been available on a single platform since it debuted on PC and consoles way back in 2010. At that time, you could pick it up on PlayStation 3 and PC, where it was published by original developer Telltale Games.

After Telltale Games imploded, the team at Skunkape Games (which consists of key members of the original Telltale team) secured the rights to develop and release the games. It took a bit of time, of course, which has allowed the team to produce what looks to be the finest version of that original episodic release.

Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse was the most ambitious of the three seasons developed by Telltale Games. The remastered version features mouse controls on PC, and the available environments now feature additional detail, cut content, and a bunch of bug fixes to ensure the smoothest possible experience.

At release, the game is on sale across the various platforms, where it retails for $19.99 USD or equivalent. You can save 10% off the regular price if you act quickly to secure it on Switch, for example. If you already know you have a thing for the Sam & Max games and you would like convenient access to their best versions, you might instead consider saving 25% by purchasing them all at once in Sam & Max: The Complete Trilogy.

We mostly enjoyed the various episodes of the Sam & Max games back when they were the new hotness, so it's neat to see them brought back to life on contemporary hardware. Are you ready to relive some now-classic graphic adventures with Sam and Max?
