EastAsiaSoft hails Macrotis: A Mother's Journey as a "heartfelt and visually stunning platformer," which is exactly the sort of praise one might reasonably expect from a game's publisher. So that's not really news, but it's probably still worth noting the fact that the title in question, previously available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, is now also playable on Nintendo Switch.

In Macrotis: A Mother's Journey, players assume the role of a mouse who embarks on a "relentless" search to find her missing children. Her journey is an emotional one, presented in the form of a 2.5D platformer with gorgeous environments.

"Climb, jump and gnaw your way through beautiful yet dangerous environments, avoid traps and use water physics to your advantage," suggests a press release. "As you progress, you'll gain a variety of natural and supernatural abilities to overcome the obstacles in your path."

Developed initially by Proud Dinosaurs, Macrotis: A Mother's Journey was ported to various platforms by EastAsiaSoft Limited. It is available for US$11.99/11.99 in normal circumstances, but this is a special occasion and you can save 20% by taking advantage of a launch window discount, if you're so inclined.
