Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time rushes to Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X
Everyone's favorite bandicoot took his time reaching the additional platforms, but finally the day has come.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is available to enjoy on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, publisher Activision announced this morning in a press release. Though not yet available, a PC version is also set to arrive on Battle.net on March 26, two short weeks from now.
Developed by Toys for Bob, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time carries an MSRP of $59.99 USD on the next-gen consoles, but you can upgrade to the next-gen upgrades at no cost in most regions (excluding Japan) if you already own it on the various PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles. On Nintnedo Switch, the new release has an MSRP of $39.99.
Today's release of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time marks the effort to kick Crash Bandicoot's 25th anniversary party into high gear, apparently. It is "the first of many celebrations to mark Crash's silver jubilee, and the many lives he lost along the way."
I mentioned upgrades on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but what might those upgrades entail? The answer, not surprisingly, is improved load times on both next-gen platforms. PlayStation 5 players will also get to enjoy 3D audio and adaptive triggers on the DualSense controllers, while Xbox Series X players benefit from spatial audio.
