Code:Realize - Wintertide Miracles keeps the story going on Switch

The third chapter in the visual novel series is available today on the Nintendo eShop and elsewhere.

If you've been waiting for Code:Realize - Wintertide Miracles to finally arrive on Nintendo Switch, rejoice. That day has finally arrived and you can acquire it for a mere $39.99 USD.

Published by Aksys Games in North America and Europe, the same company that brought the Vita and PlayStation 4 editions west in 2019, Code:Realize - Wintertide Miracles is the third and so far the final chapter in the series. It is available in both standard and limited editions, just in case you want to get physical.

Those who give the story a chance will join Cardia Beckford, who apparently is "poison-skinned" and an object of desire for quite a few hunks from Western literature. According to the description provided in today's press release, they will face "new challenges, new friends and foes, and new opportunities for love." Cardia must have a lot going for her if poison skin doesn't give potential suitors pause.

"Experience the seasonal magic and chaos of two-on-one dates and play with dynamics (and hearts) by bringing multiple members of Lupin’s gang on a wide variety of romantic romps," suggests the press release. "Learn more about the dashing detective Herlock Sholmés and the enigmatic Finis in continuing sagas involving the newest men in the Code: Realize universe, and join Cantarella, the mysterious young lady Cardia encountered in one of her many adventures, as she is caught up in the chaos that always seems to surround Lupin and his gang."

If you pick up the limited edition, you'll find it includes a set of five very small metal buttons adorned with irresistible chibi artwork (I love that stuff), as well as a 3" acrylic keychain of Cardia dressed in her winter best. Apparently, it is the third in an overall set, which makes it pretty darn silly to miss out on snagging it if you already have the previous two.

The Code: Realize games are rated "T" for Teen, suggesting things don't ever get too hot and steamy. Possibly that's because Cardia's touch means instant death, or maybe she just hasn't found the right romantic partner. But that could always change in Wintertide Miracles. Will you be playing it to find out?
