You've already had the chance to get these games on Switch, but you couldn't hold a cartridge in your hands until now.

Bandai Namco today released Namco Museum Arcade Pac, a compilation of numerous classic arcade titles from the company's long years of coin-op output, along with a few oddities designed for Nintendo consoles.

Namco Museum Arcade Pac includes roughly the same collection of games that Bandai Namco already made available in digital form, when it released regular old Namco Museum on the Nintendo Switch in July of 2017. That was before it became obvious that Nintendo is onto something with its hybrid console, though, and this second time around adds a game to the mix. Here's the list of included titles:

  • Dig Dug

  • Galaga

  • Galaga '88

  • Pac-Man

  • Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus

  • Pac-Man vs.

  • Rolling Thunder

  • Rolling Thunder 2

  • Sky Kid

  • Splatterhouse

  • Tank Force

  • The Tower of Druaga
With the exception of Pac-Man vs. and Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus (the latter of which is new to this latest compilation), each of the above titles made their debut in arcades. They have been gobbling quarters for years.

For my general thoughts on most of the original release of these games, check out my review for the previous Namco Museum release on Switch. But you probably don't even need to do that, if you're the right audience for this latest release, because you likely already know just what you think the included games are worth. For its part, Bandai Namco figures they're worth $39.99 USD or thereabouts.
