Nintendo announced today the availability of Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps and Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: White Dog Squad at retail, and now you and your wallet have a tough question to answer: are cats or dogs better? Or do you need both?

Developed by Level-5, the Yo-Kai Watch Blasters games take a bit of a break from their Pokemon-style approach and let players control the actual critters. You and as many as three other players can take down and befriend Yo-kai monsters, battle bosses (in real-time battles, rather than the turn-based ones you may recall from the main games) and tackle a variety of missions.

As noted in the press release, the actual missions available can sometimes depend on which of the two games you purchase. You'll want to either play both versions, or make trades with a friend who isn't as wise as you and picked the version you don't own yourself.

Between the two Yo-Kai Blasters games, you can befriend more than 400 Yo-kai, some of them new and some of them returning from previous games in the overall franchise. These include boss monsters, newcomers such as Usapyon and Blizzie and more.

Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps and Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: White Dog Squad each have an MSRP of $39.99 USD. They are also available digitally on the eShop, if that's how you like to do things.
