Got a better graphics card. Second hand from a friend - cheap. Said I could buy it from him if Monkey Island worked, and it did. Also boosted my 512 MB of RAM up to 1 GB. Monkey Island works! A little slow at times, but playable. I'm happy now!

	sashanan - July 17, 2009 (09:49 AM) Have you been trying the special edition of the original Secret of Monkey Island on Steam? It crashes for me immediately upon startup. First I followed advice to upgrade my .Net framework to the highest available, which didn't make a difference. Then I was informed that Athlon processors below 3000 might be unable to run the game, but mine's a 3200. I'm at a loss as to what I'm doing wrong and whether I should be complaining to Steam about the 10 euros I apparently just wasted.
	jerec - July 17, 2009 (03:55 PM) I got it for Xbox Arcade, and had no problems with it. I think those system requirements are incredibly high for a graphical/audio upgrade on a 19 year old game.
