Found a graphics card I could use, so while it's not the greatest, my computer should be able to run Tales of Monkey Island. Wallace and Grommit has the same system requirements, and I was able to run the demo of that with no issues, so here's hoping!
Hopefully these new Monkey Island episodes inspire some new reviews from me. Got the whole season ordered. Hell, I might even write a FAQ if I finish the game quick enough and don't need much help with the puzzles myself. I'm a fairly old hand at these games now, but I still get stumped from time to time.
And the remake of Secret of Monkey Island! Looking forward to that, too. Always wanted to play the first two games with better graphics and voice acting. I hope it's not too expensive!
All this Monkey Island madness has inspired me to go back and replay The Curse of Monkey Island, one of my all time favourites. My DVD drive doesn't like playing the disc for some reason - a lot of the cutscenes and voices were playing at a higher speed than normal. Ended up dumping the game on my hard drive and playing it there. Actually worked, and it does so without any load times. Hopefully I don't have any problems with the disc-swap.

EmP - July 05, 2009 (06:52 AM) That reminds me: I need to see if the review copy will run on my laptop before I tearfully outsource the review. |

jerec - July 06, 2009 (04:52 AM) I'd say pick me if I hadn't already paid for it. :P |
