Because it's so much fun!

Never fear, though; I'm actually about finished with a review for a PlayStation 3 game. That's the first of a string of several reviews that I'll be producing over the next few weeks. Plus some freelance reviews will be rolling in soon, as well.

I've been kept from reviewing for awhile because of other work I had to do, but that's basically out of the way and now I can spend the bulk of my time catching up on reviews. As for the others, I'm sure it won't be long before we see more stuff from them, too!

Fear not Jerec, my current projected review output of zero has not been affected by HGWars.

Aaaaaand, I will have an entry for the Pretentious Bastards competition. If a value of zero could be increased by multiplication, we could say something like I am writing 100% times as many reviews as before. But it can't. So what I've written is mostly an insult to the worlds of mathematics and semantics.

Easy as it would be to blame my total lack of contribution output (not counting the odd C64 screenshot) on HGWars, fact is my last two reviews date back to...October, off the top of my head, so the excuse doesn't really fly.

Since work has quieted down for me recently though - due entirely to a job switch to a less insane place - my energy is slowly returning and with it, the desire to write something again. At this stage it is unclear if it will be a FAQ or a review, in the sense that I have a clear plan for a guide and none for reviews, but the latter is much more likely to suddenly come out of nowhere.

It's great that HGWars has boosted this site's community (which isn't saying much) but I'm frankly starting to get really sick of hearing about it. It's like, yeah, this site used to be about reviewing and now it's about a browser game Jason came up with.

Actually it's made me write some FAQs and reviews I wouldn't have otherwise, to keep up my HG points, so that's a good thing. I might even write some fiction.

Then again I always seem to go against the flow in strange ways.

You'll be proud to know that I've put my ever-so-distracting HGWars character on temporary hiatus to get actual review-oriented stuff done.

I spent a good chunk of the weekend up at my best friend's place playing a game that will be reviewed this week! Maybe today, maybe tomorrow......I dunno. And my mind has been amused by spending my recent evenings catching a buzz and playing Breath of Fire. Now, on the other hand, I haven't even played my proposed game for the Pretentious Bastards thing in about 5 days. I'll have to do something about that.

The reason I haven't participated in these HG Wars is because I'm afraid of getting too distracted to where I wouldn't write any more reviews for awhile.

I'm easily distracted enough. Time to write a review of Fire Emblem DS. Hey! There are little birdies outside...
