My PC is held together with duct-tape and my new wi-fi modem is the most expensive piece of junk in the world.
I'm 25% back online. This may get better or worse in a heartbeat and I have no idea which way it will go.
Just a heads-up. I know you all missed me.

wolfqueen001 - May 24, 2008 (11:23 AM) Urgh. Why don't you just get a new computer? Might be expensive, but at least you won't have to deal with any of this crap. Especially if your expensive internet connection is faulty anyway. And it has to be cheaper than continually sending it in for shoddy repairs each time it screws up. Could be wrong, though. And if you're worried about losing data or whatever (if you haven't already), then back everything up on a CD or external hard drive. Or if your computer is too craptastic to handle those kinds of programs, back it up on e-mail. You'll lose any game data, but at least it'd be better than nothing... Or you can keep that hunk of junk for any gaming business you're not done with yet. Your choice, though, really. But I will say your luck with computers is deplorable. |

EmP - May 24, 2008 (11:40 AM) This is a new PC. The old one's dead and has taken more work with it than I care to think about. But at least I can haunt now. Even if it's only in five minutes spells before a crash. |

siara79 - May 26, 2008 (08:00 AM) My computer's been up and down also (although since the most recent problem was resolved, my computer's been working). Good to see you around! |

wolfqueen001 - May 26, 2008 (11:21 AM) So.... you have a new PC but it still crashes like the old one did? If not worse? That's a ripoff if I ever saw one... >.> Unless it's just your internet that's being screwy. Can you even get on AIM? Or did your ISP change, too? Really sucks about all the work you lost, though... I feel really bad for you. But from now on, dear God, save yourelf some trouble next time and back everything up somewhere, anywhere that you can. |
