|From a previous Game Progress blog|
A few months ago, I posted a Game Progress entry that ended with ten games I hoped to finish. Whittling down my backlog has become more of a priority over the last year or so, especially since it's become dishearteningly large. However, I have dropped a lot of titles from it (bear in mind that my backlog also includes books and movies to complete, of which I've ended numerous recently), a few of them were games I hoped to complete.
10: Horizon: Zero Dawn (PS4)
Status: I need to restart. I'll probably play through this once I'm done with Mass Effect 2, which is my current focus.
9. 3D Dot Game Heroes (PS3)
Status: Finished. I spent about three hours on the last dungeon, and thankfully nabbed the Hero Shield before going in. That allowed me to stomp the final boss without taking a lick of damage.
8. Victor Vran (PC)
Status: Finished and reviewed.
7. Transistor (PC)
Status: Finished, and I won't be reviewing it. Just know that it's wonderful, and anyone who liked Bastion should check it out.
6. Adventurer Manager (PC)
Status: I haven't played it in months, and I've lost interest in it for the time being. Maybe I'll pick it up again, but it's not really a top ten "want to beat" anymore.
5. Red Goddess: Inner World (PC)
Status: See Adventurer Manager.
4. Dragon Age II (PS3)
Status: After Mass Effect 2 and Horizon: Zero Dawn are dead and buried, this will likely be my emphasis.
3. Aya and the Cubes of Light (Wii)
Status: Still a top ten, but not really as high as it once was.
2. Makai Kingdom: Chronicles of the Sacred Tome (PS2)
Status: See Aya.
1. Mass Effect 2 (Xbox 360)
Status: I started it a while back, and recently continued it. Right now I'm doing the DLC mission with Kasumi.
The New List
10. Pony Island (PC)
9. Avencast (PC)
8. Arx Fatalis (PC)
7. Hyrule Warriors (Wii U)
6. Breath of Fire II (SNES)
5. Makai Kingdom (PS2)
4. Gothic 2 (PC)
3. Dragon Age II (PS3)
2. Horizon: Zero Dawn (PS4)
Mass Effect 2 (Xbox 360) Finished
Thankfully, a couple of those games probably won't take me long to finish. I've read that Pony Island is doable in a single sitting, but tearing myself away from Mass Effect 2 is going to be difficult.
