And it only set me back $60!

I have, for as long as I can remember, loved Godzilla and other kaiju movies. I blame TBS and their constant showings of King Kong vs. Godzilla in the early '80s for this. As you probably know, there's a new Godzilla game out which I will be reviewing here soon. I haven't read much of the details, as I want to form my own opinion on the matter, but the critical consensus has been grim. Low to mid rule, along with maybe one or two above-average reviews.

On top of all of that, I'm hopelessly addicted Dark Souls. So basically I have to put aside a gaming I'm freakin' loving to see one of my favorite licenses squandered. I'm trading good times for heartbreak.

Granted, I'm not expecting this to be the worst Godzilla game of all time. It would be very hard to top the abysmal Commodore 64 strategy game in terms of terrible. I also have to remind myself that things could have been much worse. Toho could have actually gone forward with the Godzilla/Batman crossover in the '60s.

All the gameplay footage I've seen looks dreadful, but it still looks better than Devil's Third.

I don't hate it, so it has that going for it. It's just veeeerrrry slow, repetitive, and pretty boring.

This game just keeps getting worse, doesn't it? Like, I didn't realize how abysmal it is until I fought Kiryu and Gotengo simultaneously. I mean, I knew it was bad prior to that battle, but its limitations really show when you're outmatched.

I'm still awestruck by the game's $60 tag. I haven't played the game, but after reading opinions and watching some clips... it's ridiculous.

I've just finished my first draft. I compared the game to The Simpsons Wrestling. Don't ever make me do that to Godzilla again, Bandai.
