Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
I may blog about the Kain experience soon. Since the last post, I've managed to see the oracle and collect several new goodies, including mist form, the flame sword, Blood Gout, Inspire Hate, and Control Mind. Recently, I entered Vorador's Mansion, which I attempted to complete earlier, but couldn't since I lacked the proper spells.

Chronicles of a Dark Lord: Episode 1 - Tides of Fate
Got just a tad further. It has a great, old school battle system reminiscent of the SNES Final Fantasy titles. As for the story, so far.....meh. The prologue has you playing the petulant teenage son of a warlord, whose teen angst causes him to become a vessel for a dark god. To me, this sounds like the premise for an NIS title, which could be worth a few chuckles. Unfortunately, Chronicles seems to be 100% serious. As you can imagine, I'm pretty turned off by the protagonist, but I will continue to give the game the benefit of the doubt. I've heard a lot of good stuff about it, so hopefully it won't disappoint any further.
