October 2015: Very Early Tentative Review List
January 21, 2015

Because I'm a horror nut who happens to love video games, I tend to review horror games and movies every October. Last year, I made a wise decision to cut back on the number of titles I review to one per day instead of two per day per site (totally sixty-two reviews, which I did in 2013).

Before I continue, I'd like to emphasize that a game doesn't need to be scary to qualify. A light-hearted title with either a horror theme or horror elements, such as Dead Hungry Diner, qualifies.

So, this year's titles, assuming I have the time to play and review them all, are:

HG
-Monster in my Pocket (NES)
-Legacy of Kain series
-Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (PS)
-Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (PS)
 -Soul Reaver 2 (PS2)
 -Blood Omen 2 (PS2)
 -Legacy of Kain: Defiance (PS2)
-Alone in the Dark series
 -Alone in the Dark (PC)
-Alone in the Dark 2 (PC)
-Alone in the Dark 3 (PC)
-Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (PS)
-Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (GBC)
-Alone in the Dark (Xbox 360)
-Cold Fear (Xbox)
-The Last of Us Remastered (PS4)
-P.T. (PS4)

That's quite the list! I look forward to hopefully seeing your reviews for the titles you have in mind for HonestGamers coverage.

Soul Reaver 1 is a very good game. I'd get to it again this year, but I already am playing a "L" game for the alphabet marathon. Alone in the Dark 360 is a game I own because the first time I tried to buy Alpha Protocol, the GameStop clerk gave me it instead and I didn't realize it until 9 months later when I planned to play Alpha Protocol. Maybe some year I'll get into it, but then, maybe it will just collect dust in its Alpha Protocol box while sitting next to the real Alpha Protocol until the moment I decide to play that game again.

That's a lot of bad horror movies.

Eh, I enjoy some of them, anyway. I've always though the F13 movies were dumb, fun flicks, but the latter films in that series take "dumb" to new levels.

Yeah, with the F13 movies, they're bad, but bad in an often-hilarious manner. Every once in a while, when bored, I like to watch the YouTube collection of all the kills in the series. Some are just epic, like the boxer in VIII or just about anything from X.

There's a new Alone in the Dark that came out just before Xmas that no one seemed to notice. Aside from me. Nothing gets past me.

Dammit! I may have to work that AitD into next year's group.

As it turns out, the Friday the 13th reboot has been pushed back to next year, so Superstition will be tasking its place.
