Okay, I add my thoughts on Fallout 3

I've kept fairly mum about my opinion on Fallout 3, simply because it's been difficult for me to form one. I've leaned in conversations here towards bashing it, but have never done so outright.
Now, I finally post my thoughts in a review.
I'll warn you, the above link goes to a Gameroni review, so if you feel that reading anything from that site is detrimental to this site, don't click on it.
Otherwise, I'd love to hear from some of the people who regularly get more extreme than me about the game (HMD and Blood Omen in particular come to mind).

blood-omen - November 20, 2010 (01:07 PM) first off....HOW DARE U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!posting a review of gameroni here.....UNACCEPTABLE.....ok enuff of that..... hmmmm....read your review so 1st its 2 years now and maybe the opinions on it dont matter much coz its so old now...... next up, im a very acceptable guy and if u were to tell me today that the world was flat i would agree with u coz thats your belief and i got no problem with that......now translate that to gaming and u can see i got no problem if someone hates a game i love......everyone has their opinion, and i got no problem with that.... coming on to your review....u talked about combat and how u can fight respawning enemies again and again....but fallout 3 for me wasnt about the combat, new vegas is also not about combat....its about exploring and discovering what amazing loot i will find in the next location that i am about to discover or what quest i will be asked to perform in the new area.....combat for me was and is just secondary.... u also talked about perks and how useless some are but i dont know.....so they got a big guns perk and a small guns perk....u gotta admit it adds variety......though i never took those 2 perks so i dont really know how useful or useless they were/are..... u also mentioned a perk that lets u level up and that is one of my favorite perks and as soon as it became available in new vegas, i took it without giving it a 2nd thought.....because it let me add 15 more points to my skills of lockpick,medicine,science etc..... and u know why? because it then allowed me to pick locks, repair robots, win speech options, that were at higher levels and i cudnt access them before....... fallout 3 was an amazing journey for me, more so because i hadnt played fallout 1 or 2 so i had absolutely no idea what the game was all about.....so while some people hate this game and others might think it was just ok, for me fallout 3 till date is one of the best games i have ever played...... |
