Did anyone see this film. I consistently hear it lauded as a "good" Uwe Boll film, which frankly baffles me. Anyone that can comment...?

honestgamer - July 26, 2009 (01:16 AM) I didn't see the whole thing, but I saw a clip of 2 or 3 minutes back before it came out. In the clip, terrorists were merrily planning to attack the US and were discussing how many virgins they would be rewarded with in heaven, but the numbers they quoted one another contradicted so they called Osama Bin Laden for confirmation and apparently the number of virgins is running low or something so the number wasn't quite as high as either of them had initially thought. It was juvenile humor, of course, acted out in over-the-top style, but it seemed like the sort of brainless movie that might do the one thing movies are supposed to do that people sometimes forget about: entertain. I'd probably watch it on a boring Sunday afternoon if it was on the TV and I was too lazy to find the remote to change the channel, but I'm not sure I would go out of my way--based on the trailer--to look for it instead of some other doubtless superior film. |
