Jeanne D'Arc

Oh my god this is such a sweet game. Great cutscenes, fun combat, good graphical style... I can't praise it enough.

It's a lot like Final Fantasy Tactics, though with a more cohesive story and a simpler leveling system. Skills are done through equipment, so you can really customize your characters for different roles.

I need to find a time to restart that.

I was doing fine stating again and again that I had no interest in the PSP as it had no games for me. Then they had to go and release that...

The main thing that sells it for me right now is the great pace. I've never played a faster paced tactical game, with the possible exception of Valkyria Chronicles (but that tripped itself up in the extremely slow cutscenes). After having spent months trying to force myself through Mytran Wars, some good pace is much appreciated!

Mytran Wars has a review in the works, by the by, but I believe we have embargo until September, so I'm not rushing it. That said, I may have it posted today... or later in the week if not. Another game that ended up slowing to a snail's pace with little to convince me it's worth finishing.

I was interested in the game before the "It's a lot like FFt" remark.

I put that in there for you, EmP. I mean, what did you expect? It's a tactical game.

I love tatical games. I just only tend to like the good ones.

Trust me, EmP. Jeanne D'arc is one of the greatest tactical games ever. From reading your reviews of other tactical games, I know you'd love it.
