Expect to see more Zipp reviews this week. First up will be Archmage, as soon as someone adds the game to the database.
But I'm also gonna be doing a ton of catching up. I've got Odin's Sphere, FF Tactics... and some others...
Didja miss me?
EDIT: Which reminds me... Jason said he doesn't have time to update the database... can someone help me out so I can post my review?

sashanan - April 28, 2009 (12:14 AM) Can I have a little preview on your opinion on Odin's Sphere? I was doing well and eager to write a review once I was done, but then I got hopelessly stuck with my third character on a boss fight that, to put it in Doom terms, isn't even remotely fair. The game has been parked since and now I wonder if I'll ever work up the courage to go back to it. |

zippdementia - April 28, 2009 (10:00 AM) The same thing happened to me, only at the final boss fight. I eventually went back and replayed the entire game and beat it and loved it. The thing with Odin's Sphere is that the story is so enthralling that it's hard to put yourself through the sometimes neccesary grinding to beat the harder bosses. You want things to keep moving, and they don't always oblige. That said, there are certain potions that are indispensible and which, if used, will easily level any boss. Painkiller is THE MOST IMPORTANT of these. Unlimited is a close second. Which boss are you stuck on? I have strategies for killing pretty much every boss. |

sashanan - April 29, 2009 (09:57 PM) Nothing good old fasioned leveling (and, indeed, crafting a few good potions), won't solve, but it's the final boss for the third story, Fairy Land. A wizard type who is often invulnerable, and his two mooks are the kind of big lumbering giants that I found difficult to beat on their OWN. |
