Well, this makes me sad
December 16, 2009

This piece of shit internet connection refuses to log me into the school's network so I can check my grades. ;_; Guess I'll have to try at my grandma's house when I go Friday... *sigh* And I only needed to know two more, too! =(

This sucks because last night I had the most anxious dreams regarding my grades and school in general. They caused me to wake up several times during the night only to fall back asleep and dream the exact same thing over and over again. But of course, me being the perfectionist I am, the anxiety wasn't over failing (that's impossible for me), but for getting a C+ in a class. And also missing the final. I literally woke up this morning thinking I had forgotten to take a final. Hahahaha. It's like Jesus CHrist, brain, I'm on vacation!

I can understand your anxiety. Same thing happened to me last week. But the story has a happy ending. I came out with all A's (99, 97, 99 respectively). I'm sure your story will be similarly happy.

I got a 100% on my Evidence Based Practice III final. I am the master of evaluating single study designs.

edit - too bad I'm not going to get a 100% on my COMBINED 2 GRADUATE LEVEL COURSES FINAL tomorrow

Grades online?! Why in my day we got the grades by mail. Or by student ID outside the professor's office.

And what's more, I'll tell you, grades don't go up if you see them online.

*blinks*

Yeah, never mind--no matter how soon you might get your grades and how well you think you did, there's always *some* contained panic. Probably because it took a lot of effort over a few months to get (hopefully) the sort of grade you wanted.

And also missing the final.

Been there, done that. :)

You know, it's entirely possible that you really have completely forgotten about a final.

Except in your dreams.

I wish I were done with finals. have to write up analysis and algebraic number theory for tomorrow, then globalization for saturday. fucking take-homes, man.

I had a take home final... I kind of hated it because it was take home and required discipline to finish, but I also liked it because I had more time to prepare.

Anyway, thanks everyone. I just saw my grades now - at my grandma's - so I'll be making a new post about that. It's odd, though; my grandma's internet is slower than mine at home, but for some reason, it lets me into my school's network. S'pose it's just an AOL thing. AOL sucks.

Zipp: I'm most impressed that you managed to pull such high As in grad school. That's amazing. I can't even do that with most regular courses (most my As are within the 94-96 range).

lol, that's funny because I'm really impressed that you got all A's in undergrad, which I think is harder. It's more classes, more variety (so you have to jump topics all the friggin' time), and there's more distractions from your peers. Thank you, though. I guess I did work my rear off to get them!

Congratulations on your grades, that's excellent news.
