I hate escalators....
August 27, 2008

or at least hte ones in our school. I swear to God, going down them, there's this huge traffic jam that builds up at the bottom, so all the people riding down get stuck.... on a moving platfrm. So when they reach the bottom, they can't move, and they just feel the stairs sliding beneath them.

Guess what? It's a great way to get your foot stuck in it. Or in my case, my shoelace. That was fun. Like, the only way to extract yourself is to yank really hard and hope you don't rip your shoe apart. Or break your foot. fortunately, the only thing that happened was my shoelace got crooked. The tip of it, I mean. Since it's got this plastic coatng to make it easier to lace them through. It's kind of funny now, but seriously, someone could get hurt on those... They really need to manage traffic better or something. Or stop repairing the ones hat break down. Which happens every two weeks.

I think I'm going to take the stairs from now on... Exercise never hurt anyway.

Our school has elevators.

We have those, too, but mostly in the dorms. And I don't trust those, either. The one in our dorm is all rickety and wobbly when ascending and descending. And sometimes, when it reaches a floor, the doors open before it fully reaches the top. It's frightening. Like it'll break down any minute or something.

That's how the elevators in the main library are on my campus. If you guys never hear from me again, I probably got killed riding one.

Ah, I remember deciding to walk up 8 floors every week for something like that.

It was usually faster, too.
