X-Zone of the Enderz

I'm playing "The Fist of Mars" for the GBA and it's awesome. It's like Advance Wars without boring costs and creation, but has mechs and battling that's sorta like the Xeno series. A little Evangelion-ish storyline and it's pretty dang good for a strategy game. Of course, the whole "evade every attack by rotating reticle in circles" thing is a bit cheap, but if youz got the skillz...

If memory serves, many years ago Yami Shuryou (aka something along the lines of SpaceMega Fighter X on GameFAQs) wrote a 10/10 review for this game and claimed he cried while writing it due to the fact it wasn't a very popular game.

At least I think it was him. I KNOW someone said they cried when they reviewed it. I'm just not absolutely sure who.

So no getting teary eyed, kk?

I'm already playing it a second time back-to-back and will probably do it a third time. For a GBA game, it's got a great story and is just a fun strategy game. The great thing is that the difficulty is entirely up to the player -- they can use the 'IBS' system and manually fight/dodge or take it off and leave the attacks/evasion up to a mathematical Hit%. Just all-around good fun, and I highly recommend it. Oh and there's a bit of a split-path thing, too. Yay.
