Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage (Nintendo 64)

Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage review (N64)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

I anticipated this game as being one of the best ever to pass onto the Nintendo 64. I reserved it, and got it the very first day it was released, and that was where it started going downhill. The first castle you enter, where I spent hours upon hours trying to search for the king, I learned that Aidyn was not at all what I expected, and it never improved from that.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Nintendo 64)

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask review (N64)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

A sequel to one of the greatest games ever, using that same control system which made it work so well. This game should be great, or even better seeing they know what to fix from the first Zelda (even though that wasn't much). Problem is Majora's Mask is not even close to as good as Ocarina of Time, and is not near as fun to complete. I really don't know what went wrong, maybe it was the strange storyline, the decrease in good music, or the gameplay that just didn't have the same edge. Zelda: Ma...
Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (Nintendo 64)

Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness review (N64)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (CLOD) came as a prelude to Castlevania 64, but in most ways they are the same game. CLOD had Castlevania 64 in it with more levels and two more characters. Castlevania 64 was a great game, but had something to be desired, Legacy of Darkness fixed that and more.
The Legend of Zelda (NES)

The Legend of Zelda review (NES)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

The first Zelda game released to the world. This game introduces you to Ganon/Link/and Zelda who all appear in multiple Zelda games after. This game introduces the 8 dungeons, and the scattered Heart Pieces. This game introduces to you the mastersword, and the various shields and subweapons. There are potions and fairis, and skeletons and moblins. This game introduces you to all of that.
F-Zero X (Nintendo 64)

F-Zero X review (N64)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

This was one of the four games I got with my Nintendo 64 system. I was originally interested because of the cast of 30 interesting characters. I originally read about this game from a Nintendo Power magazine, and it looked stunning. This is one game I have not stopped playing sense I recieved it almost 2 years ago.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (Game Boy Color)

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX review (GBC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

This is by-far the first Zelda game I had ever played. I was easily confused at first, and had trouble getting past the very first puzzles (that dumb mushroom). But after a little help from my peers, and my refusal to ever give up, I had one of the funnest gaming experiences. This Zelda game is an improvement upon that gameboy game, but truly they are the same, except one has color.
FIFA Soccer 2002 (GameCube)

FIFA Soccer 2002 review (GCN)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

I got this game because there were really no good games coming out with the cube, so I thought that this game had the potential to be good. There are hundreds of possible teams, from leagues no one has heard of, which is pretty good. This was the last game I put in my Gamecube that Christmas morning, and I still play it today.
Castlevania (Nintendo 64)

Castlevania review (N64)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Castlevania 64 changed the way the Castlevania series worked, with its 3D enviroment. Some people did not like the change in graphics but it gave a new feel to the series. Castlevania 64 is derived from the classic games, and it should definitely stand tall with those past games.
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (NES)

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest review (NES)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

After Castlevania's success it was obvious a sequel would be made. Like Zelda though, the sequel was much different from the first, and not near as good. Instead of the simple sidescroller with enemies at every turn, and no complex puzzles Castlevania II weakens the enemies, and makes it so there are puzzles to solve, and many different ruotes to go. This is not really what Castlevania is supposed to be.
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (Game Boy Color)

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons review (GBC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

With almost every system I jumped on the Zelda games as soon as they came out, except for the gameboy color. The two Oracle games I waited awhile on, until I finally bought Oracle of Seasons. I expected a cheaply made game, just to bring in money for Nintendo. I should've known that Miyomoto would not hurt his own game series just for some quick money, and I found this game definitely enjoyable.
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (Game Boy Color)

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages review (GBC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

After beating through Oracle of Seasons, I knew I had to have the sister game Oracle of Ages. I wanted to find out the whole story, and what had led to the faeries kidnapping. There is a big difference in the 2 games, even though the style is identical.
Kirby's Block Ball (Game Boy)

Kirby's Block Ball review (GB)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Archanoid was a game that dominated the NES for addictive puzzle gameplay. Kirby's Blockball took that same game, created some masters and put everyones star puffball in it, and created one of the classics for the Gameboy.
Arkanoid (NES)

Arkanoid review (NES)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

This is the most addictive, most entertaining puzzle game ever made. It is better than the modernday puzzle games, and nothing is even close. Arkanoid is a great game that I fell in love with, and found myself playing night after night for around an hour. Pretty good for a game I can only make it to the 3rd level on.
Kirby's Star Stacker (Game Boy)

Kirby's Star Stacker review (GB)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

An inovative and diffinitely a different type of Kirby game. Capture the stars with you friends, in a tetris style way. This was the point of the game, and the beggining it was fun and maybe a little addicting, but for a puzzle game is is dissapointing.
Kirby's Dream Land (Game Boy)

Kirby's Dream Land review (GB)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

One of the few Kirby games ever made in which you do not inherit the powers you consume. Of course you must remember this was one of the first games the pink-fluff-ball ever explored through. He still can puff up and float, and the enemy of King Dedede and Kracko are both in the game, so how bad could it be....
Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube)

Super Smash Bros. Melee review (GCN)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Super Smash Brothers Melee is in no way the perfect game in my mind. It is a great game, do not get me wrong, but I do not find it near as good as its predeccesor which changed the fighting genre in itself. However this one shows some weaknesses not apparent in the original, however many improvements.
Kirby's Pinball Land (Game Boy)

Kirby's Pinball Land review (GB)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

I am not a classic pinball gamer. Not one who has stood around the old systems pounding away at the keys and tipping the thing, so the little ball would hit where I want. I would never have bought a pinball game for any system if it didn't involve a pink fluffball (ie. Kirby/Pokemon) and my view have not changed. However this game is not bad at all, its just without Kirby and the funness that revolves around him, this game would've been a joke.
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (Nintendo 64)

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards review (N64)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

It will probably take me the same amount of time write this game, as I did to beat the game. Ok, it's not that bad, but it is short and way to easy. Of course this seems to be the story of all Kirby games. However this game is really fun while it lasts, and puts a few innovative things into Kirby without changing the game.
Kirby's Dream Land 2 (Game Boy)

Kirby's Dream Land 2 review (GB)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

The plateu for all gameboy sidescrollers in my mind. This stands above Mario 2, and even those Castlevania's. Why? Because of it's addictive gameplay and puzzles harder than many modern day (or basically those crystal ones in the late levels). This is the game Kirby was supposed to star in. This was the game that made Kirby the star in my mind, and maybe it will be for you too.
Harvest Moon 64 (Nintendo 64)

Harvest Moon 64 review (N64)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

My friends will always insult me for playing a farming video game. They would say it was the only thing worse than farming, is simulation farming. I'd laugh, because I knew what they were missing. This game is personally one of the best games for the N64, and possibly the greatest simulation game ever. I mean there is so much to do per day, and somehow it does not get repetitive. Harvest Moon 64 is one of the ultimate video games.
