Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will support dedicated servers for ranked multiplayer
CoDers rejoice!
Put down those pitchforks with ACOG scopes on 'em. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will support dedicated servers when it launches this November, according to a tweet by Cesar Stastny, developer Treyarch's director of technology.
"Confirmed: Ranked Dedicated Servers for #BlackOps2," posted Twitter's magical blue bird all over the Twitterverse as soon as the message left Stastny's fingers.
The news will undoubtedly make hardcore Call of Duty players rejoice, as the series' most recent game, last year's Modern Warfare 3, only supported dedicated servers for unranked matches.
Black Ops 2 hits shelves Nov. 13.
