Skyrim gets a 'freemium' iOS map app
Prime Guides' map app is here to help you navigate through Skyrim's world.
It's an understatement to call Skyrim's world a large one. Skyrim is immense. Grandiose. Gargantuan. Elephantine Dragontine. You do get my drift, right?
Due to its grandiosity, some players will undoubtedly get a) lost, or b) overwhelmed by the scope of it all. Luckily, Prima Guides has just the thing for you -- if you're an iOS device owner. Its The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Official World Interactive Map for the iPhone and iPad is a freemium app that'll help you navigate your character around Skyrim a bit more easily.
The app includes the world map and maps for Skyrim's nine capital cities free of charge, as well as the ability to drop pins at your very own, custom point of interest. You can then download, at 99 cents a pop, 15 other points of interest in Skyrim world, like other primary locations, dragon mounds, skill books, etc. You also have the option of downloading all points of interest for $9.99 (as opposed to paying about $15 if you purchased each individually).
There's also a search function and the ability to zoom in on the map as far as 3,200 percent.
Unfortunately not included: 3,200 extra upgrade points.
