lately i have bought...

Blazblue: Calamity Trigger PS3 - (the 2D art looks frickin gorgeous and finally ArcSys makes something new that is not called Guilty Gear but you might as well call it Guilty Gear HD since it looks alot like Guilty Gear but prettier)

Eternal Poison PS2 -(got it used for $30 based on Zigfried's seductive review. the only thing i don't have is the artbook cuz i obviously got it used but condition looks almost like new which made me snap it up)

Yddra Union PSP - (got it because of Knights In The Nightmare and it's made by the same developer, "Sting". haven't tried yet..)

Riviera: The Promise Land - (got it for the same reason i got Ygdra. the gameplay looks way too simplified tailored for rpg newcomers but it is fun and the music score sounds good from what i've heard)

Knights In The Nightmare DS - (this is probably Sting's best effort to date. the visuals and music score are beautiful and the best the DS has to offer. the style of the game is definitely refreshing. its an SRPG but alot more action-oriented that it doesn't feel quite like a traditional SRPG while dodging enemy projectiles in bullet-hell fashion. if it weren't for some annoying gameplay quirks, this game can be addicting. the game may look complex but i think it's actually a more simplified SRPG that newcomers to the genre could get into)

Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor DS - (played 10 minutes or so of the beginning. presentation looks good. gameplay? the tactical grid movement is something i'm going to have to get used to in an SMT game, but the battle mode is old-school SMT. maybe the game will get better after an hour but right now i'm not feeling it>)

Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume DS - (just bought this today at GameStop new for $20 with their Summer Sale promo. it's got above average reviews so it may be good. haven't played it yet.)

games i wanted to get but skipped:

Cross Edge(it got crap reviews but i would buy it for NIS' quirky humor(arnold references anyone? and fan service.)
Flower Sun and Rain(it got crap reviews but since it's an old game from Suda51 that never came out here, i'm curious..but it probably would have been better just to bring it out here on the PS2 than an inferior DS port)
Dark Spire(it's only $20 now and the game's got pretty decent reviews. i'd definitely get if i had money left over.)

I have at one point had almost all of those games you mentioned in my hands... though I sent many of them out to others to review. I still plan to review Knights in the Nightmare and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner in the very near future.
