I've been wanting to write reviews for HonestGamers for a long time. It just seems whenever I start writing a paragraph or two I end up scrapping it. I think lack of confidence/focus in my writing skills or when I write is the biggest culprit. That, and all the games I want to finish up during my spare time(when I don't have as much free time like I used to) so I usually don't make time to write reviews. although lately i have this urge to rectify that. there are several games I have in mind already and I feel like writing them all simultaneously, but that would be too much for me. but anyway, i'm thinking of writing a review for:
Super Mario Bros.
Shadow of the Colossus
The Lgend of Zelda: OoT
Metal gear Solid 3
-and-
Dragon Quest VIII(even though I haven't beaten that game yet but feel like I could write a few paragraphs about the game already. i think it's wise for me to finish the game first.)
speaking of which, i'm at level 19 and am at Trodain Castle, 20 hours into the game. geez, i still have awhile to go...

cheekylee - January 09, 2006 (01:43 AM) The best thing for you to do is just to WRITE. Sit yourself down, and don't allow yourself to move until a review is completed. After that, read through it. It may be nothing like what you wanted, or it may be better than you thought. You'll never know until you try, however. I like to write from the point of view of inspiration. This means that I may pop up every couple of months with just one review. This year I plan to write more from a 'work' point of view ; I will sit myself down and make myself do something. Interestingly, my only Review of the Week winner was one I forced myself to do. |
