Only two weeks left in 2007...

have you already decided what is your game of the year? i still need to finish up Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4, Rachet & Clank, Zack & Wiki etc. i think it kinda sucks to have all these games released almost at the same time and at the end of the year no less. there are only so many games i can devote my time to and not rush through the experience. my verdict won't be out yet for another few months.i got a lot of catching up to do....

if i had to pick right now though, i think Super Mario Galaxy is my early favorite for GOTY. i beat the core game awhile ago. now i need 40 more stars to go to completely complete the game. logged in about 18 hours so far. i could see myself beating this game in 30 hours. while that's a far cry from the 40 hours spent playing Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy is the better designed game overall. the gameplay feels alot fresher and Twilight Princess kinda dragged a bit.

As of right now I'd pick Mario Galaxy, but I still have to play Mass Effect and a few other games.

My nod for 2007 goes to the Phoenix Wright trilogy (of which obviously only the third part was a 2007 release in English, and all of them originally much older GBA games). I was introduced to them in August and gobbled up all three in, roughly, a week each. It's been a while since I enjoyed a game that much, as I realized when I finally finished PW3 at around 5 am after starting the final case in the evening.
