Being a Sophmore in Highschool, I really feel that I have a certain responsibility to do my best, and well, be responsible. Most of the time it means giving up whatever time I have (or would've had) for myself to do homework. After a while it just gets old, and I really can't stand all that's expected of me. I don't want to give up, simply because giving up is too easy, and it never makes things easier, less complicated, but not easier.
I really need to find an easy medium between school and being free. The weeks seem like they go by fast, but sometimes that's a bad thing. It leaves me with no time to get things done, or spend time doing what I want. I just go to school, come home, do my work, go to sleep, and do it all over again. I just want to relax, and do something that "I" want to do. Sorry for the worthless ranting, but I do feel better.

Genj - March 07, 2006 (06:23 PM) Gee, I always found High School easy. Sure sometimes my homework ate up an entire afternoon here and there, but I never had to study for tests. Exams where on such small portions of material that was constantly being drilled into you. College is completely different - you actually have to study or you get stuck with shitty B's. On the plus side, studying is about your only homework aside from papers. I will take this opportunity to go "arrgh" at Human Anatomy class. Human Physiology and Gross Anatomy will probably kill me. |

honestgamer - March 07, 2006 (06:36 PM) Not to be the voice of doom, but you have it as easy now as you ever will unless you win the lottery. I thought high school was a drudgery, but working a full time job is even worse. It's a lot less fun, too! Yeah, that's sad... but true. Get good at getting your work done, as it sounds like you already have. Spend your free time expanding your education and looking into college. If you haven't already, now is the perfect time to start. I give you this advice because I didn't listen when people offered it to me. Don't make the same mistake. |

tristis_iranica - March 07, 2006 (08:59 PM) Kind of like Genj's first post, high school ain't that bad. College is the the epitome of Satan when it comes to having to do gay ass projects for hours on end. |

bluberry - March 10, 2006 (02:24 PM) High school is much better once you figure what work is actually necessary. In other words, stop taking a backpack home and sleep all day. You'll still get about the same grades. |
