In a world dominated by marketing schemes, it's often difficult for the people who seek real, vital information without being given a shmooze.
Fitness of the body is important, make no mistake, but when everyone and their neighbor wants to make a cut in the diet and health business, you as a person are getting the least help possible.
Companies make it out to be something that you can shirk off if you buy their meals. 'Buy L.A. Weight Loss meals and you'll be happy and skinny!'
It saddens me that there is indeed a target audience for these scams. People who are insecure and lack a real sense of confidence; good folk who feel as though they're inferior to others because of their size, shape or physical appearance. For them, it's a very appealing offer.
Health isn't something so simple. Just as wisdom comes in time, fitness and health comes with awareness of the self. You can eat those bars or fix those South Beach Diet pre-planned dinners into your daily schedule and while you may lose weight, you're also losing sight of the more important issues at hand.
Take time for yourself. Recognize the fact that you're blessed with the gifts of self-awareness and contemplation; you're not a doll or an action figure, you're on a different plane where in order to find a true sense of accomplishment - a true sense of contentment and appreciation - both the physical and spiritual properties of you have to synchronize.
That is something there is no "fix" for. You can watch every channel, surf every website and seldom will you come across the help that you're looking for. Happiness isn't a package waiting to be opened, it's a state of being that's lying in wait inside of you.
To discover strength you never thought you had, that's exactly what you'll need for the journey. Don't under-cut yourself, no nay-saying. If you have ever thought to yourself, 'There are some things that I'm not pleased with, things that I feel I could accomplish that I don't have. But I know that I'm incapable. . .' then you need to stop.
If you have ever acknowledged the feeling that you could be doing something better, you're strong enough to tackle the problem and see it through to the end.
