Reveal of Jim Carry as Eggman in upcoming Sonic Movie
April 29, 2019

After seeing the preview of what the upcoming Sonic Movie was going to be, I had my expectations as low as I could had ever made and indeed I am so far not surprised on how things are NOT going the right track on this upcoming train wreck. Simply put, I feel like an agent of the Minority Report movie along with being fed of a possible horrible crime which could be prevented with time travel yet I keep being sent mixed messages by them psychics in their pool about how it may or may not work out anyway.

And the current reveal of Jim Carrey as Eggman is not helping. After seeing how Sonic would be portrayed as I still had curiosity on how Carrey would be portrayed and there it is. I can say with certainty that after seeing the SOLE two characters from the titular gaming franchise shown that I no longer have any other reason to even care on how this movie will be and what else will be revealed about it.

And I will state that the way these two characters look in that movie is not the sole reason why I will not bother watching. This is just a cash grab from a movie studio which has NEVER done anything related to a videogame movie and their first attempt is already crashing down to Earth before it will ever begin. However with Carrey here it pushes my observation that this movie is more like a direct to video attempt than a theatrical release, and Paramount will be regretting it for years to come. Even SEGA stated their disdain on how Sonic looked when that "teaser motion trailer" was shown a year ago. What does that tell everyone, Sonic fan or not?

But again, November is still far off and is still undetermined how this movie will fare out in the long run. I will just sit by the sidelines and watch it all from far away. I may watch it but not in a theater nor I will bother buying it. Hell, I probably won't even rent it being the public library in my city might have copies around to check out for free.

So, good luck Paramount.
