During the 90s I would frequent a local video store to rent videogames and movies it featured. It also had an arcade room so it was the perfect hanging place after school for a good part of my life back then. Of all movies I checked out this one caught my attention being that I had played the excellent Streets of Rage 2 on Genesis thanks to a friend of mine introducing me to it by letting me borrow it for a while. I scratched my head as I looked over the VHS box reading how it had little to no resemblance to the games at all, and would not think the woman posing in the cover could had been Blaze herself either.
I thought nothing of it and rented it to watch at home. It had some very bad acting and dialogue followed by so so fighting scenes sporting the busty heroine as she saved teens from being mistreated in a prostitution ring. There was also a shower scene featuring her which would had been added to balance the badly acted adventure I was exposing myself to, and quite frankly would not make me think any better of it anyway.
I don't quite remember how it ended and to be honest it was for the best as this movie using the title of one of the greatest SEGA games in history was raging in being sub par above all else.
I just gotta know how SEGA never took notice on this movie using said title, or probably didn't even thought much about it if they ever heard of said movie.
