Ever since you posted that "Lie" song of Lovatto's on your blog, I've been listening to it at least twice a day.
Don't be looking for my blog to feature her pictures everywhere any time, soon, but thanks for the recommendation!
I like the song's mix of a poppy, jazz/bebop, feel. It borders, with the phrasing, on light funk, but that's a bit of a stretch for anyone who knows anything about music.
If you know of any other songs that have this kind of swing to them, let me know.

"My Darling," by Ralph Myerz featuring Pee Wee, is similar in taste and quite good.

I am simply dreadful when it comes to coming up with music that sounds like other music. I suppose, at best, you can always check out someone like Adele (mainly "Right As Rain") or Lightspeed Champion, neither of whom sound anything alike and most certainly sound little like "Every Time You Lie." But it's the best my feeble music theory can come up with. And as a general tip, for a time, I posted a song a day over at my ADD blog (yo). It hasn't been updated in a couple weeks, but I'll see about getting it back into gear.
