Tell me I'm not the only one completely stoked for this.

Is anyone doing the four-day challenge?

Okay, I'm obviously out of touch because I have no idea what you're referencing here.

That makes three of us.

Don't worry, Zipp. I'm with you 100%. Heavy Rain is #2 on my list. From the previews and articles I've seen, I'm really, truly hoping that it's going to have the same atmosphere and mystery as Indigo Prophecy without all the silly mechanics and game play.

Yeah, because Quantic Dream have such an awesome track record of delivering on their hype.

The game will blow.

I don't know man, this game looks like too much for me to handle. Like that one part in the trailer when the guy opens the fridge and pulls out some orange juice... exhilirating.

That's because your mother forced you into a bad encounter with orange juice when you were a child, Suskie.

For those that don't know, Heavy Rain is, spiritually, an attempt to do Indigo Prophecy righh. A degree of skepticism is only healthy, of course, in such an instnace. However, the gameplay trailers have been highly promising as have the early reviews.

The story has something to do with the Origami Killer and four characters who get drawn up in the events surrounding the mysterious murderer. One of the big promises of the game is that your characters can get killed during the story, at which point you are pushed onto the next character and the story proceeds in a different direction.

The game also does a lot of new things with technology, especially 3D modeling and motion tracking technology (which is evident from the smoothness of the animations and the realism behind the hair and tears and rain).

More than anything else, I'm just excited for the atmosphere they've created in the game. Very compelling dark noir.

I only know a lot of this game because a friend of mine is very excited about it. I don't think it sounds like something I'd pay full price for.

It's me and you True, in a world by ourselves...
