FUCK YOU! I'm sick and tired of you canceling my study abroad appointments. You're ruining my chances for an awesome education and I hate you. This is the third time you've canceled on me for stupid reasons. If this keeps up, I'm going somewhere else. Maybe I'll apply for that internship in England, even if that won't help my Spanish language skills at all.

You're all incompetent jackasses. I hope you die in a fire. Go blow a chicken or something.

Haha, Janus: Yes, but the thing is, the internship I'm talking about came through the international studies department, which is my other major. This means that the classes that I might be taking along with that internship will likely be heavily international studies related, as opposed to history related. Granted, I don't know what the curriculum looks like - I'm just making assumptions. I could very well be wrong. What's more, I wouldn't go abroad JUST for the Internatoinal Studies major because that major is like the easiest thing to knock out that ever existed. A lot of the classes I'm taking crosslist with it - even the British history course I'm taking now. I think I think I only need between 3-5 more classes for it.

The other thing is, regarding the history major, it's set-up doesn't provide all that much room for specific focusing. I'll just lay it out for better explanation. It's a 36 hour major, and each class is 3 hours. That leaves 12 classes. There are four required introductory level classes for the major - one 100 level European history, one 100 level American history, one 100 level Global history, and one 100 level history of your choice - which I've already taken.

They also require you to take a 300 level pre-17th century European history course (which I'm taking now), a 300-level post-European history course, one 300-level American history course, one 300-level non-Western history course, and the Junior Colloquium course, which teaches you how to write a history paper (the huge one) and do research and stuff.

You also have 3 electives, which I don't believe I haven't satisfied yet. So, looking at it this way, there is some flexibility with focus, but not a whole lot. Considering that I still need the post-1700 Euro history and 3 electives, I could theoretically go to England and take the classes there, but that's only if they're available in the program I'm talking about.

Alright. So I guess the major itself isn't a problem, but the internship itself may be. Outside of the work experience, it might turn out to be entirely useless in filling out my history major or core classes. I'd have to check.

I think before they let you go abroad, you have to be able to spell "international" correctly.
