Visit Notre Dame in Kingdom Hearts 3D
According to Japanese magazines Jump and V Jump, Kingdom Hearts fans will soon be hearing the bells of Notre Dame. A Disney world inspired by the film The Hunchback of Notre Dame is confirmed to be in Kingdom Hearts 3D, the next entry in the franchise.
The Parisian world will be called "La Cité des Cloches" and seems to pit Sora and friends against Frollo and the city guard. Frollo is apparently concerned about "demons" in the city, and it stands to reason that these will be Heartless or whatever enemy type fills the Heartless' role in the latest game.
Pinocchio also makes an appearance in his own world named "Prankster's Paradise." It's a circus-esque fairyland in the belly of a giant whale, presumably Monstro.
Much about Kingdom Hearts 3D is still unknown at this point, though it seems Sora and Riku must obtain their Marks of Mastery and become Keyblade Masters. Xemnas appears to have returned in some form as well.
As for more recent information, new Dream Eaters, something new to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, were revealed as well. Ice Penguin, Phone Goat, and Needle Lion are the latest additions to the list of Dream Eaters. Of these, the first is an enemy, while the latter two will assist Sora and Riku in some way.
As should be obvious from its title, Kingdom Hearts 3D will be for the 3DS. It's scheduled to release in Japan in the spring. North America and Europe release dates are less specific, stating only that it will release in those regions in 2012.
