Divinity: Original Sin II was one of the most heralded RPGs around last year, even going so far as to win the official Gamescome Award for Best RPG of 2017. Now, one year later, it has arrived on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in a definitive edition.

Bandai Namco, who is publishing this time around (when the previous Divinity: Original Sin title finally reached consoles in 2015, Focus Home Interactive assumed that role), revealed the console port will feature enhanced controls and a superior game experience. That translates to "refined story elements, spells, environments along with split screen co-op and a revamped Arena Mode."

In case you hadn't heard previously, Arena Mode offers both solo gameplay and online multiplayer PVP, as well as boasting a pass-the-controller Hot Seat mode. It adds 16 characters, including a few all-new ones that bring unique skills and abilities to the table.

In addition to offering support of both HDR and 4K graphics, Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition grants players all the freedom they would expect from a "sandbox RPG." You can improvise and experiment, breaking or bending rules as suits you as you travel through the magical world of Rivellon.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition is available now in both digital and physical formats on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with an MSRP of $59.99. It has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB, because in addition to being magical, the world of Rivellon can sometimes also be downright bloody and grim.
