No, that is not a threat to your well-being, but the title of crunk band Family Force 5's new EP. It's an iTunes-exclusive, three-track pack of sheer awesome, and totally worth the three dollars it costs to download it. (You can also use Limewire, if you can handle the performance impact.)
The three songs featured on the EP - "Dance or Die", "Fever", and "Wake the Dead" - really show the way that the Family has changed and developed since the 2006 release of their first album, Business Up Front/Party in the Back. New (and sometimes bizarre) techno elements blend effortlessly with the bouncy crunk-punk rock formula that Family Force 5 has already established so well. And yet, the old FF5 still shines through, with all their catchy beats and tunes, their devil-may-care attitudes, and their party-loving wildness.
All in all, it's a sweet, sweet taste of their new album (slated for an autumn release) that has left me yearning for more. And I hope that after you listen to these songs (embedded below), you'll be yearning right along with me.
