Well, people, it's that time of year again. It's Christmas tomorrow, and as it is Christmas Eve, it seems only natural to do a Night Before Christmas poem. And as this is HonestGamers, I decided to revive a poem that I sent last holiday season as an email. So, here goes:

A LEGEND OF ZELDA NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through Hyrule,
All the Hylians were preparing for yule.
The Kokiri Forest looked especially bright,
For the Great Deku Tree had been decked out in lights.
The peak of Death Mountain was covered in snow,
So out to the ice rinks the Gorons did go,
As did the Zoras (all the water was ice,
And the fish Jabu-Jabu thought this was quite nice).
And Talon and Malon, by their fireplace with care,
Placed cookies and a bottle of Lon Lon Milk there.
Even at Ganon's fortress, he and all of his goons
Danced to the big organ (it played loud Christmas tunes!)
And at Hyrule Castle, the crown roast was hearty,
For the kind royal family was throwing a party.
But as the clock struck twelve, there arose such a clatter!
Princess Zelda sprang up to see what was the matter.
She dashed out of the ballroom, down to the main floor,
And said "Lower the drawbridge! Please, open the door!"
The drawbridge was down... no site greeted her eyes.
(Little did she know she was in for a surprise!)
Then, off in the distance, she heard a faint trill:
'Twas the sound of a flute from o'er the foothill.
She recognized the instrument, hollow and round,
And knew whose ocarina made that kind of sound.
Then what to her wondering eyes should appear
But a man on a horse! And she let out a cheer.
The horse was light-brown (just the color of cider),
But the really remarkable one was her rider.
He posessed sword and shield, and had sandy-blond hair
That shone in the light as he hopped off the mare.
He wore a green tunic, and on his left hand
The Triforce of Courage was etched like a brand.
He placed a red sack full of gifts on the snow,
Then mounted his horse, yelling "Epona, go!"
But she heard him exclaim ere he rode out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

This is a cute little holiday tradition that I started last year, and it seemed perfect for my blog. Feedback? Questions? Comments? Feel free. This is only a draft, and it's open to editing.
