Well, it was a tiring vacation down in New York, but as I had time to kill in the city, I figured I'd tell you all about my trip to Nintendo World and (inadverdantly) make you all jealous. Sorry... but I'm doing it anyway.
Well, a lot has been going on at 10 Rockefeller Plaza since my last two excursions to it. Do you guys remember that issue of Nintendo Power (you know, just after its look was redesigned) where they talked about it? I remember that the article was called "A World Apart," so that may refresh your memory. It is wonderful down there, and everything the article said.
However, all the GameCubes have been replaced with Wiis, and the GBA bar is now a DS bar (though I don't think you can pick your games anymore. Shame about that). It is still incredible, though. I spent most of my time playing Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree, and I quite liked its Wiimote functionality. I then played the DS version, and concluded that the Wii version was far better. Shame that there are no more GameCubes; it was nice to try your luck at Super Smash Bros. Melee against people you didn't even know.
It was still a barrel of fun, though. In fact, I bought the new Big Brain Academy board game, just because it looked awesome. I already had about three other versions of Monopoly lying around, and the Nintendo one, while neat-looking, didn't do much for me. Besides, I had a rather small day pack, and the Monopoly wouldn't fit in it. (It was a pain to stuff BBA in there as it were, but yeah.) My purchase was worth it, too. My buddies and I had fun stacking up our brains against each other. Hopefully, you will too.
So, long story short, I had fun. It was good. And yes, I did play Twilight Princess, Excite Truck, etc., on the Wii, too. You just can't miss those. For more on the store itself, go to:

You get to see pictures and everything. It's so awesome. Bye!

honestgamer - July 31, 2007 (04:26 PM) I would imagine that place will be as pouplar as ever once Super Smash Bros. Brawl comes out. The Wii is the perfect system to highlight at a store like that, especially with all the games coming out in the next few months. I would like to go there, but I'm not going to take a trip to New York for something like that. It's Nintendo World in my apartment every day! |

wayne_steed - August 01, 2007 (09:51 AM) Yeah. Actually, I was going to New York just to visit buddies and stuff like that, as I do on an almost yearly basis. Nintendo World is one of the places I always stop by. |
