Life in Iraq
May 04, 2007

Well,

I'm stuck in Iraq for a minimum of 15 months. This is mostly bad news. Luckily, being a gamer, I have been given the wonderful opportunity to replay all the old school games I grew up on. Here is a list of all the games I have mastered in the last few months. (I've been here for awhile now...)

SNES:

Breath of Fire
Breath of Fire 2
Chrono Trigger
Donkey Kong Country 2
Earthbound
Final Fantasy 3 (my favorite)
Lufia 1
Lufia 2
Mega Man X
Super Mario RPG

And I am currently working on Final Fantasy 7.

I'm almost done with disc 2. I haven't missed a single item/weapon/materia yet. I don't plan on doing it.

I will post screenshots of all my favorite game stuff sometime. Not today though. I'm kinda busy saving the world.

What job and branch of the military? 15 months is tough break, but I suppose it could be better or worse depending on what you're doing.

I have seen a number of wives/girlfriends buying systems and games to send to their men in Iraq, and I've played Socom against more military members than I can count. It always made me wonder what the military gaming scene is like. Perhaps we could hook up for an interview in the future.

And of course, stay safe.

Because I'm nice like that, I fiddled with your account so that, if the mood takes you, you can now submit screenshots and avatars. No need for applause, just throw money.

It's cool you get the chance to sit through some of the SNES RPGs, but no love ofr the Sega stuff? Phantasy Star must weep itself to sleep -- in a post-end-of-world manly way, of course.

Take care out there.

Hey thanks!

And actually I do have Sega games, I just haven't listed them yet. Also I have to go off of memory, because I don't have access to most of my games right now... (at least,... not the cartridge..) But thanks for the... edit I guess. You a moderator or something?

More or less. I prefer the title 'overlord', It caters to my ego.
